The fact both of these series are by the same autor should give it away, but the humor, character archetype, and general theme of "dumb people doign stupid things" as a way to pull-out gags is almost identical between both properties. And sure, Aho Girl might lean more into the comedic side of things, not taking itself too seriously and focusing more on the nonsensical and more often violent, situations that arose from the interactions within its cast. Both of these series deal with the topic of polygamous relationships aswell as the challenges the participants of the aforementioned type of relationships might face and the interpersonal dynamics that develop between them as time goes by. All of this, in a day-to-day scenario that deals mainly with mundane activities and situations even school-aged people of the real world might face. Both shows have a similar plot and the main character has multiple love interests. The comedy is similar and the girl's seem quite alike too.

Both shows have the exact same type of characters.- Nice main character- Loud, physically abusive tsundere- The calm, nice one - The yandere- The side character who knows the tsundere in some way and is the last one to become interestedBoth shows have a strong comedy focus, although I think Nisekoi dives a bit deeper into the romantic aspect of rom-coms.

Both shows have a guy, who is interested in many girls. The stories are very different though, since in Kanojo mo Kanojo the guy gets a bunch of girlfriends but in 5-toubun he is only interested in finding "the one" from the girls. Nevertheless, the girl characters' personalities match.

Similarities: The same harem based anime..... Dissimilarities: In one anime the guy was just too pathetic, while in the other anime the guy seemly accpets his harem.
