| The British Film Institute has a poll every 10 years of the greatest films of all time, measured by the frequency of each film's appearance on lists submitted by hundreds of critics. So each critic submits a list of what they believe to be the ten best films of all time, and then the institute compiles those lists into the overall top 50. I would like to do something similar. Any members of this club are free to respond on this thread with the anime they believe to be THE TEN BEST OF ALL TIME. Interpret the word "best" as you wish. Once we have 100 responses, I will compile them into an overall list. Separate seasons will be counted as one show. These works independently have their strengths and weaknesses when extrapolating them as top titles, which isn't very simple, since beyond the "ratings," there are many nuances. Some may do some things better than others, but these series are here primarily for: execution, presentation of themes and development, narrative complexity, good writing, and idiosyncrasy (ability to stand out narratively from other works). 1.
