| Well, since I'm all hyped up again concerning DBZ, I just watched my favourite parts of the series and came up with this idea :). The "general" idea of this thread is to say which fight you like most and WHY. The why is the most important part here. I don't want you guys just say stuff like this: "Broly vs. Z fighters because he pwnz0rd them all to the leet". I won't set any rules or so but it would be nice to explain it in detail, not just with few words. It should make the people think about it and and compare other fights to their own favourite fight and start a discussion. Since this is my idea, I will take the lead and start with my explanation. It can also serve you guys as an example of how you could write your own explanations :). As for me, it is the fight between Goku and Cell during the Cell Tournament. One of the fights in DBZ which can be really called even / on par. Both Goku and Cell are almost equal and neither one is trashing the other to a pulp during the entire fight. And because it is an even fight, they both have to utilize their wits and fighting instincts. This means: no fooling around, (almost) no arrogance and most of all: no trashing the other one. You also see Goku fighting an enemy which actually knows most of the Z fighters (and Frieza's version of the Destructo Disc) moves and characteristics. Of course, you also see how he counters all these moves and is still able to keep up with Cell. In addition, this fight had no further transformation involved making it into a one sided fight. Furthermore, this fight isn't some kind of talkshow or staring contest. They were constantly fighting right from the beginning (execpt for some small comments) - making you totaly focus on the fight and filling you with suspense in what will happen next. Especially the "Instanst / Warp Kamehameha" which would actually kill everyone, if his enemy (at this point) wouldn't have some sort of regeneration capability. Well, the best part actually is the way how they designed the fight. All these flashy moves (not energy attacks but the physical attacks) impress me, which I can't really tell from other fights. Here you can see that they really try to avoid every single hit from each other and their facial expressions, indicating that even a single blow should be taken serious. Unlike Buu or Broly i.e. . A bit long I guess, but of course yours don't need to be that long - unless you want it so :). As for comical relief: "His stupidity is beyond belief" from Vegeta to Mr. Satan during the Cell Tournament :D. |

| Best fight? Piccolo vs Android 17 What can I say, it's probably the most even fight in all of DBZ (piccolo having slightly more power, 17 having more stamina) Also, we see Piccolo's ultimate move (only time he uses it), and it's also the last great fight of the super namek... |
| Yeah, now that you mention it. Piccolo always had "small/short" scenes where could shine as a non Saiyan. But he shorty lost his advantage again because his opponent still had a transformation up their sleeve (Frieza's 3rd form and Cell absorbing Android 17). And during the Buu Saga he had no real fights. Actually... he didn't fight at all during the Buu saga, did he? Can't remember right now :/. The only thing I know is that he was absorbed by Buu and that's it. |

| Yeah, it was indeed an intense fight. But.. if you consider that Vegeta was Majin / SSJ2 and Goku only SSJ2 and were still even.... you get my point (if yes, there is no need to mention him hiding his SSJ3 transformation) ? :D But nevertheless, even after watching all the "memorable" fights, I still stick to Goku vs. Cell :) I also noticed something while re-watching the fights. Vegeta "actually admits" during the Goku vs. Cell fight that Goku is the strongest among the Z-Fighters :D. |

| Yeah, well, I'm talking only about that fight, what happened later with Goku SSJ3 is a different story hehe. It was still an intense and even fight which could of gone either way. Of course, the story would be different if Goku went to SSJ3 :P I remember that too, it was a cool fight but my pic remains :P Btw, if Goku vs Cell was Hero vs Bad Guy, Goku vs Vegeta was.. Hero vs ?? lol Btw, part 2: Did u ever hear Perfect Cell's voice english dubbed? lol |

| Haha, INVALID X). Joke :D. Well, I either watched DB/Z in german or english so I know the dubbed voice of him (well, I also know the japanese voices) :D. But Cells voice when he still needs to absorb any of two androids is wierd. Sounds like someone kicked into your balls and made you eat them afterwards. Best part was when Cell pissed his pants and his "dying" yell when Goku was charging/firing his Warp Kamehameha :P. |

I couldnt agree more lol Usually I like the original voices better.. especially Broly's lol.. his yell made shivers run down my spine.. the eng version was ok too, but I just didnt get that feeling u know (same goes for Vegeta's Final Flash attack and a bunch more examples). Perfect Cell's voice was.. well, perfect lol.. sounded a bit like a british gentleman hehe |

| Sure? I don't know. Goku was affected by his heart disease at this point which put him into a grave condition. If you take this into consideration, Vegeta was indeed stronger but only because of that. |

| Yup, but he only believes it (just saw the scene). But even then I'm fine with it. Although, I find it more impressive that Goku was able to improve much more than any of the others. Vegeta has gotten even stronger in the time where Goku was out cold. And Vegeta was even twice in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber, whereas Goku was only once in there (during the Cell Saga) and still achieved both USSJ stages. Additionally, he managed to reach a level where he used the remaining 10 days to rest and was still stronger than Vegeta in the end. In addition, by the time the Cell Tournament was in full swing, Vegeta even admitted that Goku is stronger than him. |

| Might be true, or even not. All we can say is that Vegeta was defenitely able to beat both androids at this point. Goku was able to do so as well, but you could see in various scenes that the disease started to affect him (sweating, breathing heavily, clutching his heart etc.) and the android absorbed his energy (which he also did with Vegeta and he risked a bluff which was a success to intimidate Dr. Gero). Either way, we can say that he was at least as strong as Goku at this point. Yes, at least. He might've been even stronger but he did need a Senzu Bean after his fight against C19, indicating that he is not "way" above Goku's power. |

| I say Piccolo vs Imperfect Cell. Piccolo just became the Nameless Namek again and the encountered an opponent even slightly stronger than he became. Imperfect Cell was a pretty cool villain, sucking people empty and all, and then Piccolo fought him pretty evenly. |

| Goku vs. Vegeta, its classic fighting at the core but i think this really the fight the DB series that starts really show the supernatural-based fighting that would later become the norm in later episodes of DBZ. |

| My favourite DBZ fight is Goku vs Frieza. It was epic because even though Goku managed to hit Frieza with a genki dama he still stayed alive and killed Kurirn. Also Goku turned into super sayan but he was still almost equal with Frieza. Moreover he had to both kill Frieza and leave the planet within 5 minutes. That made the fight more thrilling. |
