Maybe if I wasn't dead inside I would have cried like everybody else, but after reading it twice I can safely say there are many (less hyped) manga more moving than this one.
Appreciated the storytelling and artistic paneling. The twist was interesting but at the same time took away the realism. Didn't really care about the characters so the drama didn't hit me hard enough.

This was definitely a very good manga, but not the masterpiece-level as many claim. Well, opinions differ so...
I think it just ended too quick so I wasn't too invested with characters and didn't care THAT much, even though it's tragic and sad.
The saddest part that hit hardest was Fujino imagining a story (alternative reality) where he saves Kyoumoto (and other victims as a result) at the last second, and the two lived happily ever after, despite not meeting each other up until that moment.

Decided to read this before watching the anime, since people told me manga was better (maybe?).

Let's see if that'll be the case for me too.

Nice background art.
Character art is very poor to the point of it being hard to know which character is which.
The story is shallow and trite mainly due to trying to say something about loss in a very very short work. The writer has nothing much to say beyond "it's sad when people you are close to die; we find ourselves imagining life if they had not died" which is fair enough but I think we all knew that already. There's no layers here and I guess the work was a personal thing, but not so personal that we're not asked to pay full price for the tankobon.

Save your money for something better - which gives you a lot of options.

I read Goodbye, Eri first before reading this.
While reading this, I kept having this inner monologue "please don't get sick, Kyomoto".
Welp, she didn't get sick! But....
