| Hi everyone, I'm 20 years old first year university student from Finland ^^ I'm studying mostly programming and math and I'm going to do (some day) my master's degree on machine learning/vision. I'm open to all kind of anime/manga but I prefer a bit more mature stuff. I watch and read stuff a bit slow pace because of my studies and that's why I'm still a bit noob in anime/manga world.. My hobbies include anime/manga, aikido, video games and I also like skiing and hiking. I'm a bit shy (typical Finn) but I hope I make some new friends (✿◠‿◠)ノ |

| Hi :), i'm ArcticEnergy! I started watching animes since i was 6 years old, my first one was Dragon Ball Z. Some of my hobbies are the following: - programming and almost anything related to it; - star gazing and reading/watching anything about space exploration; - watching animes/tv shows and reading manga(just few of them); - i like reading and posting a lot on reddit; - sometimes i like playing football(soccer); I joined this group because i really want to see what other people like about this anime world, to find out hidden gem animes, to share things about me, to learn things about you and maybe make new friends! | Hello guys. I'm Point, college student, currently studying sociology, polish and taking college classes in Japanese (will probably start a full course next year). I'm not a noob to forums in general, and I've been on and off watching anime for a long time, but this is my first day of actually participating on mal forums and clubs. I enjoy watching and reading more or less anything, although I prefer fantasy/supernatural/sci-fi. As far as any other hobbies go, I like to write, am occasional gamer (mostly rpg stuff. Tend to avoid online and multiplayer) and drive every now and then (although it has been a long time since I was trying to draw anything serious, and right now I'm probably not any good). I'm usually shy at first and also very direct, so sorry if I come of rude, or too strong. |

I mean, I think this forum stuff is hard even though it basically tells me exactly how to use it lol @ShironMaoKyoshro I pretty much don't know where to get a good signature code, but once I get one I just paste it into the box in the My Signature tab right? |

| @Mush-13 Well, I'm just in my first three months of studying, with a really sucky teacher, but I already feel like the language itself fits me a lot better than many others I've learned. I definitely find it to be easier than Polish for now. Far more logical with far less exceptions. Biggest initial hurdle was learning hiragana and katakana, but the rest of it is no different than learning any other language. |

| @Mush-13: I don't know "know" that many languages, but I dabbled with a lot of them. In my highschool, on top of my native language and English, we also had Latin (nightmare, don't remember anything) and Italian (actually learned something in my last year, when we got a new teacher, but never used it afterwards, so I forgot a lot). I also took German for one year, while I was just a kid in I think second or third grade of elementary? But once I took up piano I didn't really have time for it anymore. And now, in college, one of my majors is Polish. For now, I can understand most stuff, and I can talk somewhat, but grammar is killing me. |
| Welcome to the Noob Club, @PointOfOrigin (and thanks for welcoming him btw @Mush-13 ) And Welcome @Zhuneck as well, I hope this place comes back to life a little for your guys' sake oh and Mush, you will have to go to "Forum" section in "edit profile" to actually put anything in your signature, the "My Signature" section is only to get a picture to use for your Forum signature that shows your most recently watched shows, and if the image is clicked, it leads you to you're anime list, of course you can put anything you want as your signature, you just gotta know how to use BBCode a little bit, but I can help you if you still get confused about it, I don't especially like the way they explain how to use BBCode, it can be confusing, and that's why I can help, but you could also take a look at this thread there was at least one other time that someone asked about signatures, and you may have similar questions like they had, so take a look at this thread if you want, you might find the answers to your questions |

| @Mush-13 thank you! That's just our schooling system in general. In highschool we had a minimum of fifteen subject per year (all of them mandatory) and third year we had seventeen subjects, I think? |

And while we did hate on the workload, looking back, I'm glad we had those. Those were one of those rare subjects where we had to actually think. |

I'm a junior high student who started watching anime in late 2015, so I'm also fairly new in that regard and comparatively young on mal. I love talking to people, so I hope to become friends with you! In terms of anime, I'm a fan of most genres excluding ecchi and mecha. My favourites are psychological thrillers and shoujo/romance.
