It's funny how this season has been flirting moments between Chisa and Iori and the finale gave the pair their highlight. Not exactly the highlight Chisa wanted to be part as usual. She also showed different sides of her character this time.

The humor even in the final episode is meme worthy. Azusa and Nanaka reminded me why they're still the cool ladies. This season has been a blast imo.

Season 3!

In the most adverse of circumstances, people bond together.. so yeah, watching these guys turn a survival situation into a frat-boy camping trip was hilarious, but hey, you gotta love the respect they somehow still show the seniors. You know, the same seniors who ruined Iori and Kohei’s lives in the first place. But hey, trauma builds memories and what’s Grand Blue without some emotional scarring xD

Btw, we know this took a long time to make a return, but yeah, this was still as enjoyable as I’d hoped for. At least they teased some Iori x Chisa moments as well in the finale… which of course went absolutely nowhere because Chisa’s allergic to affection. Girl practically wore a "Don't Touch Me” t-shirt around Iori lol. Chill a bit, I mean.

Still, actual diving scenes in a diving anime? Wild. Didn't think we'll have this in the finale as well. Anyway, solid season, had fun again, and yep, I’ll be looking forward to season 3. There's still a LOT to adapt.

Iori and Toki, later joined by Kohei and Naomi at the ledge of a beach corner, and later saved by the Senpais, they have quite the solemn moment to share passing the torch to the juniors alright. But they're soon saved, and the next day's yet another touring session for everyone, though jumping off a cliff sure is one.

Chisa has quite the big misunderstanding of Iori thinking that he saw her naked, that he's up to no good, though asking her for boat diving sure is the only thing that will interest her in, except her almost forgetting her weight belt to swim near a school of fish. However, when Iori feels proud enough to mock Chisa, but also ask her what's on her mind, and once again, the misunderstanding of seeing each other naked to tell one another that they love each other, it's quite the misconception alright. But especially when the Senpais are about to graduate and Iori wanting to organize a send-off, but that it requires an advanced license, the ruse is on!

Season 3 is all but confirmed at this point (no thanks to leaks), so the Grand Blue journey isn't quite done yet! Please don't let us wait too long for the next...

Kouhei jumping down after hearing Rarako was great, and the talk with the guys added some nice sentiment. He already senses another dumb misunderstanding coming, while Busujima’s clearly noticing Iori. Honestly though, I’m shocked I’m more on the trap ship than Chisa, Busujima, or Cakey, the trap feels so pure, even jumping off the cliff just to reach Iori. That’s someone special.

Kouhei catching on this fast surprised me, but Chisa’s misunderstanding makes sense after last night looooolll. Anyway, it’s a solid way to wrap up the season. With a new season basically confirmed from the start thanks to the leaks, I’m glad they’re going full term with this. Crazy things are coming, and I’m sure they’ll deliver like they for the most usually do.

I love the captain tinker bell moments and stuff, still curious about senpai's future and i will be back in the third season.

Seriously, it's hard to see Nanaka-san's fanservice even though I was hoping for it in this episode. Iori and Chisa's misunderstanding has also been resolved, there are no regrets for the second season

I love when 4 guys are lost in the cliff near the sea, such a romantic place...

Anyway, Grand Blue 100% deserve season 3, and season 4, and season 5, and a movie, and a spin-off, and a reboot for our children's generation, this is legendary comedy anime.

What a fun ride this season has been !
Everybody came looking for Iori and ended up jumping without thinking lol
Kudou was surprisingly thoughtful of Iori's seniors and made the first years think about the good times that their club has and the idea to hold a send off party for their seniors.
Chisa being wary of Iori was so fun to watch xD
The misunderstandings are what make this show so special, haha
Chisa being cautious is extra cute.
When would Iori start seeing her as a potential love interest!?
So glad at the announcement of season 3.

"Not very obvious to me."

Wild mushrooms and wild whiskey, sounds like bad ideas to me.
"The end is coming soon."
Wild whiskey will do that for you.

"Gosh, shes such a stud."
Yeah, I love Azusa to death.

Palau, next season, coral reefs abundant. Be careful in the interior. It is very rough and wild, and many horrors remain from the war.

Can’t wait for 3rd season! Honestly, the leaks have been hitting the mark lately but nothing beats confirmation. Nothing like watching the final ep of a season and knowing more is to come, and especially when the show’s been fantastic from week 1.

Misunderstandings, sacrifices and whack, the show’s got it all xD. Azusa-san’s real stud!

Palau next, eh? The only country besides Japan to recognise Japanese as one of their official languages and it being a Pacific country is honestly about all I know, but I hope I’ll get to learn more when the cast heads over to there. All this for their seniors though, that’s pretty lovely!

Lol. Those idiots just kept coming one after another. But that moment was still kinda nice. Can't have an island arc without some people getting deserted. Classic.

The seniors are retiring from the club? Yeah, I kinda doubt that'd happen.

"Won't your swimsuit come off too?" "So what?" That's why she's the GOAT! Seriously, I don't think I've seen any other anime girl who's like Azusa. Too bad the plan didn't go according to keikaku. Nanaka forever remains beyond their reach.

Chisa is so adorable when she's shy. The misunderstanding was cute even tho it didn't last long. I wonder if Chisa would ever give in to Iori if he actually properly confessed to her. Probably never gonna happen anyway.

Mom? For some reason, I thought Nanaka and Chisa's mom was dead. Anyway, I'm guessing she's abroad or something.

Yes, the third season is finally confirmed! "As our smart viewers have probably figured out by now, Grand Blue Dreaming Season 3 has been confirmed!" I wonder if that was referring to the leak lol. Probably not but it would be funny if it were.

After seeing so many last episodes without any confirmation for a sequel this was a breath of fresh air. Granted, the leak confirmed it a while ago. I wish more anime would get another season rapidly. Grand Blue Season 2 was my favorite comedy anime of this season if not the whole year. They should they never stop making Grand Blue. Wait for Season 3 is going to be rough. But it's probably going to be nothing compared to people who waited 7 years for S2.

The way they unintentionally used that wand as a Kohei dog whistle LMAO

Love how Chisa and Nanaka share the same flustered anti-Iori mode lol. With their mom being teased, wonder if we'll find out she's where they got their romance-shyness from.

Also, wish Cakey could've been part of the finale but I'm happy she at least got a mention!

A wholesome episode to end this 2nd season.

It was the right mix of comedy, but also genuinely good scenes between the characters, and actually some character development. The 3rd years are going to leave the club after this year, and for the first time in the anime you can actually see the time passing. The truth is that 2 seasons have passed, and no mention of graduation was mentioned, so it's great to see that here.
Not only that, we can see more of Iori and Chisa's relationship, especially in how each of them doesn't see the other as a woman or a man respectively (yet). So basically they like each other, they are just still in denial, since it's always akward to think of someone you knew ever since a young age that way, and I think that's really valid, they just want to continue the happy life they have now. In a way, it reminds me a bit of the anime "Nagi no Asu kara" (which I recommend watching btw).

Despite that, we also had plenty of funny scenes, like Kouhei comming from the other part of the island when hearing the toy Otoya had. One of the funniest episodes too.

And most importantly, we got the confirmation that we'll be getting a 3rd season! I'm really glad we got this confirmed, even if most of us were already expecting it. It really was a way to end the season, with a picture of Iori and Kouhei on water bikes naked xD (always truthful to their nature).

I have to say that this 2nd season ressonated with me a lot more than the 1st one, and I actually found it a lot funnier. I think it's because the 1st season relied more on the "getting drunk" comedy (that ended up becoming repetitive) and on the comedy around Iori and Kouhei's friend group, which I personally never liked, and even this season I didn't really enjoy that much those 3 episodes more focused on that, but I think in the 1st season it was more common. I think it also may be due to the fact I'm just older now, and can also relate to the story more at this point in time, that certainly helps a lot too.

Watching this season every monday during this summer was amazing honestly, and even with a 3rd season coming, it for sure is coming in a different part in my life, where this anime might not be as ressonating, so this end of the 2nd season actually made me sad. I wish we could have had a longer 2nd season, especially considering we waited so long for this 2nd season.
So this 2nd season will always have a special place in my heart.

It's unusual for me to change a score of an anime after the 1st season, and when it happens is usually to lower it, but I have no doubts that this 2nd Season of Grand Blue deserves an 8/10 (instead of the 7/10 I gave the 1st season). This season was a lot funnier for me than the 1st one, and it also explored the characters a lot more, especially Iori. Also, I loved the 2nd episode of the season, the dynamics between Iori and his little sister were so funny.

It was a pleasure to share my experience watching Grand Blue every week with you guys, as it was great to read all of your comments too! Will wait to find you in the forums of the 3rd season!

Edit: Formatting issues.
Also, it seems Chisa and Nanaka's mother is making an appearance next season!

4:15 KOUHEI HAS BEEN SUMMONED! 🤣🤣🤣🙌🏻 FUCKING DED

4:55 KOUHEI CARRIES A LIGHTER TO VERIFY A GLASS OF WATER 🤣🤣🤣

12:40 oh my Chisa’s face 🤭👌🏻

15:30 Chisa so cute trying to selectively ignore Iori 🤣

19:00 OMG CHISA HAS THE EXACT SAME MECHANISM AS NANAKA WHEN SHE’S PUT ON THE SPOT 🤣🤣🤣 CALL AZUSA THE EXPERT

My 11th Summer 2025 anime finished! I’m so sad 😭 this is my favorite Summer 2025 anime man. I was more excited for this anime than anything else this season. Once again, I was dying laughing at every episode every 30 seconds. Did not disappoint at all. It was so good I went back and rewatched all of season 1 again too last month 🤣 we got some great spicy scenes this season like Chisa accidentally kissing Iori on the forehead and other scenes with Nanaka and Azusa 👌🏻 Once again, absolutely love this season’s OP. They finally just released a live version on YouTube a couple days ago which I have been rewatching nonstop 🤣 my favorite anime song as well this Summer season. Still can’t believe this entire season got leaked right at the very beginning. First time. Nonetheless, SEASON 3! 🙌🏻 no need to wait 7 years this time! I’m gonna miss this anime so much. Definitely will rewatch again.

I swear this gag will never get old

Damn missed out on one last Nanaka service before the end.

Iori and Chisa relation is so weird and get a read on but obviously way better than pink bitch. So imma still root for it if Aina goes out of picture. But their chemistry is unbeatable. Wincest for a reason..

Deservingly got S3. Slightly worse than first season as this had few dud episodes with the pink bitch and didn't made me laugh that much as S1 honestly still masterpiece anime🫡
Hopefully we get Palau and next season soon.

another great episode but i'm disappointed guys...

I mean, they skip a lot and change some dialogues etc so of course I have to close my eyes but I love the manga so much that they should adapt everything for me...

That being said, S2 is 10/10...
Having a great time when I watch anime or read manga is the most important thing for me...

Honestly, I feel satisfied with this season 2.
From the first episode to the last, it had really funny comedy.
Since this is a slice of life anime, I don’t mind the romance and the emotional parts either.
This season ended with the possibility that the senior diving club members will retire as they enter their final semester in college. That was the sad part — Iori and Kohei will have to part ways with their seniors. A club they never even thought of joining at first has now become something they truly enjoy. Well, Iori and Kohei will also become seniors in the club.

I’ve already read the announcement, so see you in season 3. Hopefully, the release won’t take too long.
