Haha, I know, but it's rare anyone goes back to read reviews of old shows, and I am so behind on updating my MAL list that it's kept me from doing anything on it for quite some time now. XD

yeah literally every single member of the big three is enhanced by the reading experience, but bleach most of all due to the anime adaptation's intense filler and how quickly it caught up to the manga, completely killing the pacing for the arrancar saga especially. like, the anime knocks soul society out of the park but it goes from adapting an average of 3 chapters an episode to adapting like, two on a good day. Not to mention I think the visual metaphor of the settings tracks better in manga form, due to the inherent difference in how one processes a static image on a "page" (web or physical) vs. a moving image.
